• Dr. Benjamin Free, a collaborator with Oncoceutics on the effects of ONC201 and ONC206 on the dopamine receptor, will be presenting his research at the University City Science Center as part of the Science Center’s Lunch for Hungry Minds program.

While blockade of the D2 dopamine receptor (D2R) is known to be required and primarily responsible for the therapeutic efficacy of antipsychotic medications, all current antipsychotics exhibit numerous deleterious side effects. We have developed globally selective D2R antagonists that are inactive on related off targets, devoid of some extrapyramidal side effects, active and selective on in vivo models of D2R antagonism, and demonstrate behaviors predictive of antipsychotic activity.
